하롱 에센스 호텔

非常好

What I liked: 1) First of all, the hotel’s interior. Very cozy, well-maintained, and with a pleasant atmosphere. 2) Secondly, the housekeeping team: the cleaning was always of a very high standard, and the room remained clean and tidy throughout my stay. 3) I would also like to especially mention the young man who worked night shifts. He was always extremely friendly and promptly helped with any questions, creating a real sense of care and attention. What I didn’t like: Unfortunately, my interaction with one of the front desk staff left a very negative impression. I didn’t remember her name, but she was the only one who spoke English at a good level. The main issue was the following: I needed to buy a bus ticket from Ha Long to Hanoi. Based on my previous experience of buying a ticket from Hanoi to Ha Long (where the hotel arranged it for me in just two minutes), I expected the same level of service. However, the staff member persistently tried to convince me to rent a car from them for around 1,700,000 VND, despite my repeated requests to simply arrange a bus ticket. After some time, she agreed and quoted a ticket price of 400,000 VND. I was surprised, as my ticket from Hanoi to Ha Long had only cost 290,000 VND, but I decided to trust her. Once I arrived in Hanoi and checked the actual ticket prices from Halong, I found that tickets ranged from 260,000 to 290,000 VND, depending on the seat. Moreover, she had booked the cheapest and most uncomfortable seat for me, without asking about my preferences. As a result, I ended up overpaying by more than 50% of the real ticket price — effectively just for a phone call. What was most disappointing was not even the amount of overpayment, but the lack of transparency and honesty. And why book the worst seat? Also, from the beginning, she insisted that I pay her directly in cash, refused to provide any receipt, and claimed that bus drivers never accept payment - which is not true, some passengers were paying to the driver directly. I had initially planned to return to this hotel for a month, but after this experience — definitely not!

Exceptional staff that is very helpful and friendly.

We had a great stay at Ha Long essence hotel. The staff at reception were excellent to us and very helpful throughout our stay. They provided us with great recommendations for the local area. The room was clean and in great condition, and it was great value for money. We would definitely stay here again if we are in Ha Long again in the future
