Alajuela Backpackers Airport Hostel

Very good service and so convenient to reserve the free airport shuttle service.

Its a great place to stay before taking a flight, or after. It’s right next to the park in Alajuela, so even later in the day it still feels safe in that area. The hostel has a really nice layout with multiple balconies and a bar/restarant that’s open 24/7. They even had a free airport shuttle at 7a.m. which was super helpful and convenient!

Was located on 2 floor,corner room, #24, extremely noisy. It felt like the windows were not isolating at all the noise from the street, even though they were closed. It's the noise from the street ,not from airplanes. AC was turned off even during the night, no remote. Room and bathroom were very clean, fresh bed sheets, no humidity in the room. Key door lock which is great for safety and privacy. Stuff members were very friendly and helpful. Microwave in the lobby. Big lobby, comfortable chairs to rest on each floor. Excellent location,close to food stores and some attractions.

Cheap and cheerful, great staff super friendly

I found this property while searching for somewhere close to the airport. My goal was to get the bus to Playas del Coco. It turns out that I ended up taking an Uber to Pulmitan Terminal & then finding out the bus stop was 5 blocks away! Lesson learned! The staff at the Hotel was super helpful & my room was clean & spacious. Originally, I was going to stay in a dorm, but needed sleep & privacy. I would stay there again in a heartbeat & definitely recommend this property to anyone traveling.
