Good value, clean & friendly.

I have used The Crown Inn many times for short stays when visiting family in Swindon. The rooms vary a lot in size and layout. The bedrooms I’ve used recently have been re-carpeted. Some of the bathrooms have been refurbished and some are still need of this, but they’re all ok. I recommend it as a comfortable, warm place for a few nights; good value for money.

This is becoming an annual pilgrimage to The Crown Inn as I attend the annual Gathering event organised by CVM locally. This time I was upstairs in a lovely room, comfy bed and a refurbished bathroom which was very nicely done. I was rather surprised that the extractor fan continued for about 15 minutes! Helpful and friendly staff, I hope to have a meal next year and may write another review! Best wishes :-}

The rooms are quite basic but what I would expect for the price. Had a room with a new bathroom which was a nice surprise. Would be better if the pub was open until 11 as nowhere nearby to get a drink later on.

Me and my friend were meeting another friend for a wargaming session that was streamed on his youtube channel. Being from Liverpool, we needed a place to stay and all others seemed to be too expensive. This was the most reasonably priced. The room was pretty good, located and a part of an excellent pub with great food. It turned out to be a good place only 15 minutes drive from where I needed to be the next day. It is an ideal stop off location, but beyond the Crown Inn itself there is not much to do in the local area around it. Staff were pleasant and friendly, and the pub itself was reasonably quiet and closed at a good time around 11ish meaning a decent sleep.
