Baglioni Resort is absolutely stunning. I’ve spent four incomparable nights here and celebrated an unforgettable 10th wedding anniversary that I will cherish for a lifetime. Most of all, I’d like to express my sincere gratitude to my butler Elisa. I would highly recommend all properties of the Baglioni Group, especially the resort here in the Maldives, to all my friends back in China.

If you don’t want a resort with china nationals this is the resort for you. Mostly Italian and European guests, giving you a very peaceful atmosphere. Rooms are decent but the water pressure can be quite low for my liking. The room amenities can be improved. Food in the restaurants are average, can be better. Overall a good resort to visit.

My family stayed at the Baglioni Resort for 6 nights. I was able to travel comfortably thanks to a resort staff who helped me with the seaplane transfer after arriving at Male Airport. The 40-minute seaplane ride felt like a dream. I would also like to express my infinite gratitude to Elisa for helping us ensure a comfortable stay at the resort. All the resort staff we met—though I cannot remember all their names—who kindly welcomed our family, who are not fluent in English, with always smiling faces, also remain as beautiful memories of the Maldives. The accommodation was always kept clean and cleaned twice a day, and towels, water, and the minibar were always replenished. The food and drinks were all delicious to my family's taste as well. I was especially grateful for the small events you prepared for my son and me on our consecutive birthdays. Also, the underwater environment around the resort was very clean and excellent. I highly recommend it if you enjoy snorkeling. My memories of Baglioni Resort remain as such happy memories of my first visit to the Maldives that I find myself planning my next trip while organizing photos after returning home.

This was our fourth trip to the Maldives, and our fourth consecutive year visiting. Before this trip, we had already spent 25 nights at resorts in the Maldives: 7 nights, 7 nights, and then 8 nights plus 3 nights on our previous trips. I am counting only the nights actually spent at resorts, not hotels in Malé, airport stays, or time spent on airplanes. I am not saying this simply to say, “I have been to the Maldives many times.” Each time we came to the Maldives, I had some kind of expectation. I felt as if I was looking for something. During our first three trips, snorkeling, freediving, and eventually scuba diving each gave a different meaning to our journeys. After finally experiencing scuba diving in the Maldives, we also stayed at Soneva Jani. At that point, I felt that we had experienced almost everything people imagine when they think of “the Maldives.” But what my wife and I were truly looking for was not, “Let’s go to the Maldives and do something.” What we were looking for was the experience of being genuinely at ease. Not feeling that we had to swim because we were in the Maldives. Not feeling that we had to go diving. Not forcing ourselves to eat something simply because we had paid for it and it would feel like a waste not to. These were all things we had experienced, in one way or another, at previous resorts. Baglioni was different. At Baglioni, there is a sense of freedom. The freedom to do something only when you genuinely want to do it. The freedom to choose between room service and going to a restaurant. To eat and drink what you want, when you want it. To take part in many different activities — or simply choose not to do anything at all. For 14 nights, we were able to almost completely forget about ordinary life and simply spend happy, peaceful time together. I think experiences like this can contain enough energy to change a person. I do not think I have ever had a journey that moved something so deep inside me before. Another thing that made Baglioni very different was its people. The entire resort felt like one team working together. At many resorts, the butler becomes the main person you interact with. At Baglioni, however, we gradually developed relationships with everyone — the housekeepers, the minibar staff, the person making pancakes at breakfast, the restaurant teams, the reception staff, and many others. That, to me, was one of the biggest differences. By the end of our stay, it almost felt as though we had become friends with some of them. Now that we are home, I genuinely miss them. And to Naresh from YAMA and TASTE: Naresh, you are the person I remember most. My wife and I will remember your service, your humor, and the way you treated people for a very long time. I am deeply grateful that I had the chance to experience the attitude and sincerity you bring to your work. If you are considering a longer stay in the Maldives, I especially recommend Baglioni. We stayed for 14 nights, and thanks to the variety of restaurants, room service, and different styles of food, we never had to worry about becoming tired of the dining options. After a total of 39 nights spent at Maldives resorts over four trips, Baglioni is the place where I finally found what I had been looking for. I sincerely hope more people will have the opportunity to experience this resort.

We had a great and relaxing stay in overall, the resort took a good care of us. We have quite a lot of dietary requirements and they tried to accommodate everything. The Staff at the F&B restaurants were amazing with our two children - thank you :) Improvement areas should include: 1. room service is rather slow, the food takes up to 60 mins to be delivered to your villa. 2. Kids club - I felt the Staff working there should show a lot more more energy and creativity when it comes to interaction with the kids.
