Calatagan's Bahay Kubo

Ok, well we took a chance on this one. It's basically camping but the "tents" are made of bamboo and straw with a mattress. Everything is quite worn down. No hot water, no towels, no shower, dirty toilet etc. There are facilities so you can cook food etc, but thats all. The "tent" kubo had a lot of holes so I counted 15 mosquito bites from last night. The electricity comes and goes in intervals of about 15 min and then the fan stop working and so on. But the staff was great and very helpful. There was also free parking even if the road going there was a bit rough. Overall, why bit try a night there and hike down 500m to the beach.

One of the cheapest room Ive booked in agoda so far. You’ll just have to walk for 10 mins to arrive at the beach. the beach is so nice, creamy white sand with clear waters.

Sobrang accomodating ng staff (family sila) they are kind. sinabay pa nila kami sa dinner. their kids helped us find the way to the beach. Will definitely go back there soon.

Decent place, secured, sobrang bait ng staff, you just need to walk ng konti going to the beach.

Stayed here for 2D 1N and the staff and host were super nice and accommodating! It was good for its price considering that this is a bahay kubo type and the room we stayed in was super clean. We expected the AC would be a window type one but it was an aircooler I think? It was still cold though. The beach was 5 mins away when we rode our motorcycle. The road was rough from the highway to the bahay kubo which was like a 15 minute drive. Overall it was a 4/5 experience! Will definitely go back. Thank you, host!
