Very good service and friendly staff very good ambiance

Our stay at the Island Life Maldives Retreat was perfect for us. The island is very idyllic and tranquil with only about 700 people. Beautiful clear water and white sandy beaches with an amazing coastline. The locals were friendly. Dinusha was excellent and gave us five-star treatment all the way. He provided us with everything we needed to make our stay most welcome. Our room was very inviting, well maintained with air conditioning, a nice bathroom, and shower. If you want to completely switch off, relax and unwind, this is the place for you. Other activities must be booked for an additional fee. To note, there is currently no private beach (but a public beach available to guests is about a 10-minute walk through the village). Spa services are currently not available and the Maldives recently increased the “green tax” to $6 per person per night, which must be paid prior to departure. Also, the airport/speedboat transfer is $65 per person one way. Be sure to bring extra mosquito and insect repellant.

To who ever reads this give this resort a chance had a fantastic 2-weeks stay. Very clean rooms and their brand new rooms just built. Messie and dinusha where amazing host took care of all are needs and arranged travel to and from the island to different excursions. Food is amazing and feel free to make special requests for dishes, wifi is no problem Netflix works and just ask for a tv make sure you bring a fires stick or google stick. The beach is beautiful the ppl are so nice on the island and everyone friendly. Please do stay the only issue or complaint i could give isn't on the resort because they didn't have a choice in the matter. They are building an airport and took all the beach front property away that was in-front of the resort and now its a built out sandy road and your now 50 plus yard to the water. You have to walk 5 min to get the sandy beach experience on bikini beach. I would be happy to stay again and appreciate all the memories i took with me and hope to stay again.

Honestly, I didn't expect it to be so magical! We arrived right before Christmas, on 22nd of dec, and they greeted us with fresh coconut juice and cold face towels on a very small island with less than 900 people. Our room was just perfect, it was spacious and they cleaned it every day, replaced our waters and teas. Customer service was outstanding to say the least. It doesn't matter what we wanted, they found it for us. Gluten free meals? Yes! Fresh papayas? Sure! an SD memory card for my camera? Of course! The whole experience was so nice and felt personal since we got to build actual relationships with not only the staff of the hotel but also the guests from all over the world. The activities were super fun. On Christmas itself they had a whole program prepared for us with a romantic dinner and traditional performance. I strongly recommend local restaurant ! Ask Messi and he'll take you there whenever you want! It's incredibly cheap and yummy! Unfortunately, we had to leave a day earlier, so they booked a hotel in Male for us which was in a very convenient location. Thanks to them, we had the best vacation ever!
