Thenmala Heritage

The property is in a great location—just 100 meters from Edapalayam railway station (note: as of September 2026, ongoing station renovations mean using the stairs to reach the platform) and very close to a local bus stop. It's also ideally situated for visiting Aryankavu Ayyappan Temple and Palaruvi Waterfalls. The owner, manager, and support staff are exceptionally warm and helpful. The home food served was quite good and very affordable too. One minor suggestion for management: adding clotheslines on the property would be a huge help for guests returning from the falls.

Super awesome place nice to stay with best hospitality and food

I will try to cover some points. I am writing merely about Thenmala Heritage and not about Thenmala. In terms of 'Value for Money' I got it at a bargain so it gets a 5. Location I have given a 4. It is about 8-9 km from Thenmala central which is a bit far for reaching some of the main attractions. In terms of location for staying and relaxing it is fantastic. In terms of cleanliness, very good indeed, a 5. As it is off season, facilities have a bit thin. The best of the best have been the staff, Vineesh and Robin. They have been fantastic at helping and assisting me with anything and everything. I was bowled over by their hospitality. I literally cried when I left with their love and care. The overall ambience of the hotel is pleasant, and the staff are courteous and helpful, which makes the stay comfortable. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. However, the rooms are quite small and feel cramped—not as spacious as 19 m²—and the toilet is also compact. There is no food provided, and there aren’t any good restaurants nearby. Additionally, there are no provisions like coffee or milk for children, which can be inconvenient for families.
