Mama's Homestay Ruteng

Lovely stay, run by a couple who speak perfect English and are local guides as well. The room is super clean and cozy, the building was lovely warm (we arrived on a cold evening and the fireplace was on and it was just amazing). Hot shower - albeit shared but there are 2 showers & 1 toilet and everything is super clean with shampoo & soap in the bathrooms! Breakfast was included and was Phenomenal! Highly recommended stay, One of the best ones in Indo over my last 3 months of traveling.

Je vous recommande Mama’s Homestay à 1000% : Faldi et Nina vous réserveront un accueil des plus chaleureux, ils seront aux petits soins pour vous, vous aurez droit à un super petit déjeuner, ils seront toujours là si vous avez besoin de quoique ce soit .. vous ne serez absolument pas déçus ! Tout est conforme au descriptif et la salle d’eau et WC communs ne posent aucun soucis puisqu’il y a 2 grandes douches et 2 toilettes. Si vous voulez vivre une expérience humaine incroyable, dans un quartier calme à quelques minutes du centre de Ruteng, c’est ici qu’il faut venir et vous aurez du mal à en partir ! 👍

This place is just wonderful! Alina, Faldi, Nina and all other lovely staff members make you feeling at (mama’s) home from the moment you arrive. The location is in a very cute area with welcoming neighbours. Our had fun playing with the kids in the neighbourhood. The rooms are comfortable and facilities all there. Definitely recommend Mama’s homestay to everybody looking for a local and comfortable stay in Ruteng.

Really loved the place, wanted to extend for one more night but it got fully booked 😄 It’s really cosy and the staff are super friendly. I met the owner and he’s such a welcoming man! They also cooked an amazing vegan dinner and breakfast for me! The fried tofu and tempeh were fantastic 🤌 Haven’t seen many places like this in Indonesia. Strongly recommend!
