Charming, Cozy, and Perfectly Located The Bear Hotel in Esher provides a charming and overall very good base for exploring Surrey and offers excellent access, particularly to Kingston and the surrounding areas. It delivers a lovely balance of traditional comfort and modern convenience. Location and Practicalities The hotel's location is undoubtedly one of its strongest assets, being ideally situated for both local activities and travel throughout Surrey. However, prospective guests should be aware that the car park is very small. We were fortunate to find enough space during our visit, but maneuvering can be tight. Comfort and Amenities Our room was everything you'd hope for in a historic inn setting: cute, undeniably cozy, and very comfortable. The bedding was excellent, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The bathroom featured a very powerful shower, which is always appreciated after a long day. Furthermore, the inclusion of a Nespresso machine in the room was a thoughtful, modern touch that elevated the morning experience. The only real drawback was the in-room entertainment. The television felt ancient and, sadly, was not a smart TV, limiting streaming options. While this is a minor issue for a short stay, an upgrade here would significantly enhance the guest experience. Conclusion The Bear Hotel is a fantastic choice for those prioritizing location, comfort, and character. With delightful rooms, superb bathing facilities, and great coffee on hand, it's an enjoyable place to stay, despite the small car park and dated TV. We would happily return.

It was really a nice stay with nice room, great location, and friendly host. Would definitely recommend and visit again if I got chance.
