It’s a remarkable hotel, we stayed at a double bedroom room — top of the building, great views. Exceptional location, remarkable views over the bay from the restaurant where breakfast is served. I would definitely recommend for families with older kids. There are no lifts in the building so may be problematic to carry heavy/bulky items to the top floor. It was four of us, but the room was prepared for 2 — towels, Nespresso pods, etc. Could not reach the stuff over phone, had to bring the towels back myself from the pub after dinner. We have also got a PCN because we were not provided us with a visitor pass for the parking in front of the hotel which apparently is required. It’s a shame as I explicitly asked if anything is needed to leave our car there and was advised that it’s fine. I now have to deal with the council for an appeal and the hotel staff showed no sympathy nor offered any help in this matter. Apparently we’re the only ones who got into this situation over the last 3 years. Bear this in mind, there is another smaller private car park which can be used by the guests that also wasn’t offered to us, the public car park is also fine you just need a visitor pass from the hotel.

Great stay but got a PCN

Enjoyable stay
The room is spacious and clean. One double and 2 single beds in separated rooms. The bathroom was clean and looked new, probably very well maintained or newly renovated. The breakfast was good. The pub was warm and cosy and we enjoyed our time at the pub. There was also a handwritten welcome note from the hotel. I was worried of musty and dusty room after I made the reservation as this was an old hotel in a small village. It turned out to be one of the nicest hotels I had ever stayed, with its deco and ambience. It was one of our most memorable stay in UK.

Great location. Super views. Stayed in room 1 with balcony and great view of the bay. Staff excellent. Very clean. A quality experience. Only slight disappointment was some of the breakfast ingredients were not 5 star as everything else was.
