Location is good

The hotel does not have adequate staff. Very basic breakfast - so don’t buy breakfast-inclusive packages if you like hearty breakfasts. Room locks with old style keys - so they will probably give you only one key for the room. The elevator is very small and does not have walls on 2 sides - stay away from the walls while the loft moves up and down ! Wifi was very weak and patchy most of the time. Toiletries for the bathroom were basic - one hand wash soap and one body wash soap. The beds were not comfortable. Towels and bathroom were clean. We paid Swiss-style hotel rates for a hotel that did not command that price and did not offer that value.

This hotel is ridiculously overpriced and overrated. The hotel is old and the facilities are meagre. The room was unbearably hot. Management suggests opening the windows at night but there are 2 problems with that. Noise and most importantly no insect screens. If you don’t have air conditioning then you must at least have insect screens on the windows. Breakfast was adequate and the room was clean. The so called parking is poorly designed and the hotel staff is unavailable after 10 pm to help with the parking. The desk shuts down and there is no obvious way to get a hold of anyone for assistance. Particularly if you are a non German speaker. I would say this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had at the price of a five star resort.
