My husband and I stayed here for the night to visit the Christmas market ,it said 3pm check in but the room was ready so we were allowed in earlier.the bed was super comfy , the only problem we had but the whole pub did there was no hot water so we could have a shower but the landlady reported it and was waiting for the plumber to fix it .overall its in a nice location would definetly recommend

Nice but tired
Our stay at the Red Lion was good. The staff were great. The little touches were nice such as chocolates on the bed, a good supply of biscuits and plenty of bathroom supplies, shower gel, shampoo etc. The room was nice and warm throughout the stay and the shower pressure was as good as I’ve experienced in any hotel. It was let down a bit by being tired and is ready for a spruce up. The bed was very comfortable but was very creaky every time you moved. So, my overall impression is nice but tired.

Was located in a perfect spot, it’s close to everything you need. Food was lovely. Rooms were a little bit small, but had everything you need. Staff were very friendly.

Just a one night stay great reception from the staff fantastic room absolutely in the centre of Bakewell the food was great and very reasonably priced we would stay again
