I am a digital nomad and solo traveller from the Philippines and I had an amazing stay at MEET SUNSET- Luang Prabang. I stayed for 10 nights at one of their dormitories. Here are the quick wins: 1. Early Check In was provided with ease. I arrived at 10am from a long land travel from Chiang Mai and the hostel owner has proactively offered an early check in so I could rest. 2. Offered a complimentary breakfast every single day. I work early in the morning and having a food in my stomach is a relief amidst long hours of working. 3. The facilities are great. Wifi is decent. The shared bathroom and the whole properties are well-maintained and cleaned. They have a veranda/dining overlooking the Nam Khan River and the mountain ranges of Laos. 4. Top-notched guest care and service. There has been countless of instances that they proactively helped me in everything that I need. The hostel owner and the staff from the receptionist to the cleaner are all attentive, communicative and helpful. You will be treated as a family. 5. Value for money- This is the cheapest that you can get here yet they provide exceptional guest services.

Pros: The place was quiet — you could hardly hear noise from the road. The roommates were also quiet. The staff were polite and provided dishes for us to use. The Filipino volunteer was very enthusiastic. The owner was very generous with the AC, with no time limit. The USD/LAK exchange rate followed the Google rate. There was hot water in the shower room and curtains in the bedroom. There were enough seats on the ground floor. You can air-dry your clothes on the terrace. Cons: The staff quoted 130,000 kip when I walked in, while I had paid less than 80,000 kip after booking online. The toilets should be thoroughly cleaned. The mirrors on the second floor look like they are almost falling off. There is only one bathroom for 12 beds on the second floor. The floor under the beds in the dorm should be cleaned — there was trash, dust, and stains. The curtain is thin and see-through. The bunk beds are noisy if you move on the bed. The kitchen was not available for guests.

Likes: - A nice place in the form of a house. - Away from the busy areas. - It has a view of the river. - Friendly and easy going staffs. - There's snooker to play in the hall. - Free coffee. - Bicycles available to use for free. Dislikes: - No bath towel provided. - No bath soaps in the bathroom. - No lockers.

私が泊まった部屋は、部屋の中は悪くなかったですが、窓の外が共用スペースで、たまにうるさいです。さらに夜は隣のホテルの共用スペースから、若者たちの騒ぎ声が夜遅くまで聞こえてきて、最悪でした。このホテルのせいではありませんが。 オーナーはフィリピン人の夫婦で、フレンドリーです。共用スペースも解放的で気持ちよかったです。
