Wonderful stay in a wonderful location, loved it.

Booked last minute so considered ourselves lucky to have a mountain view in Murren which is a popular destination. Our family room on Floor 1 did have a good view of the mountains but also overlooked the road and train station so not as perfect as we had hoped for the price we paid. The view from the ground floor restaurant is not as good as other restaurants on the other side of the street and the ‘terrace’ is tables on the road side. It’s a nice restaurant otherwise. Location is very convenient for those arriving by train and a short walk to the cable car. The room was very new, comfortable and super clean. It had a double bed, bunk beds, balcony, table and storage plus en suite bathroom. For what we considered a high price it felt quite budget in terms of style but quite child-friendly Staff were friendly especially our evening meal waitress. Food was good (pizza) and reasonable value. Would recommend but next time would try and book a hotel on the other side of the road with unimpeded view from room and restaurant or in Gimmelwald as we preferred the smaller village feel. Murren is also nice but a bit busier (many more restaurant options).

Everything is superb. The staff, the breakfast, the location, everything was great. Except that i noticed a tall blonde hair gentleman with a man-bun being unnecessarily curt and giving a sense of superiority. The checking in guests were merely asking a harmless question of their room keys but received a curt response that he is not done checking in yet. It is the tone and the manner of his response to a harmless question that caught my attention. It is not easy getting to Murren for international travelers. We are usually exhausted by the time we arrive. A little more hospitality and empathy will be much appreciated and welcomed. In contrast, there was another lady staff who was the opposite. She was always welcoming, helpful, accommodating and hospitable. Overall, Eiger Guesthouse is still thumbs up for its many positives.

This is our second stay in this Guesthouse. It is the same lovely Guesthouse (and more). There were new updates including an elevator (which we were extremely thankful for) and new rooms. Breakfast has been fantastic with a good spread. We also had dinner at the restaurant for both nights - Pizzas were delicious. Not forgetting the extremely helpful and warm staff Francesco who was around to assist us throughout our stay. Highly recommend for anyone who is considering staying in Murren.

I cannot say enough positive things about this place! The room was SO cute and cozy. You opened the window to a view that makes your jaw DROP! I literally could not get enough of the view. The bathroom was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The staff was AMAZING. I enjoyed the breakfast spread every day. My mom also took advantage of their laundry service while we were here and was very impressed. It’s also RIGHT beside the cable car, so that was a huge win when carrying a heavy backpack. All in all, I was VERY impressed. If I come back to Mürren, I’d definitely stay here again.
