We had a good stay here. Some facilities are now a bit old and could do some good renovation. Staff are very accommodating, food was great in our opinion. Slight issues with bathroom, that could really use some good renovation as well, it lacks a bidet which should really be mandatory in all bathrooms now I think. The place is huge, lots to explore. Their beach is not that great so don't expect much of that.

Everyone was very pleasant except the bell staff at the entrance. We returned in the evening after a late dinner and the bell attendant kept asking for our room numbers, therefore we told him. He kept on asking afterwards and wanted to double check with the reception, it was very awkward and unwelcoming. Other than that, everything else was pretty good.

From arrival to checkout, staffs are so polite and courteous. We were allowed early checkin and it was a relief since we came in a very early flight. Food and food service is great as well! You can stroll at their minizoo and at the seashore, and swim at the pool. They have recreational activities. Best all in experience...

Fort Ilocandia is a beautiful relic from a time of great presentational vigor of The Philippines. Everything that was architected there has history, culture and a powerful past associated with it, including its mastermind. However sadly since its golden age has passed, the resort has declined, faded and weathered quite a bit and has not received the care that a historical landmark should be given. Pros: The grounds, building, statuary works and corridors inspired by Spanish colonial architecture are majestic and extremely remarkable. Additionally the fort’s beaches, courtyards and grounds are sprawling, tranquil and intoxicating. The corridors of the fort are full of artworks, historical photos and antiques. The Red 8 restaurant is good and makes great dim sum! Shout out to the bartender downstairs who makes very good drinks! Cons: In addition to it’s neglected cosmetics and facilities within our room this included: non working bedside phone, unusably slow WiFi at less than 1mbps, cockroaches spotted in the restaurant (cafe) and our room upon entry, audible vibrating bathroom faucets, very stiff and uncomfortable beds and very fuzzy/snowy television feed. The staff was not rude but other than a couple employees they were not warm, nor very naturally accommodating. The high cost of accommodations did not match the experience which was disappointing. Final note: Despite any cons, I am very glad that we did get to visit this amazing relic of Philippine history and we will very much value that experience.

This hotel has a very good ambiance and worth to stay, also has a friendly staff .
