The owner and the staff are so friendly and approachable. The room is clean. Worth the price. Highly recommended.

You get what you pay for. No water pressure, was not able to brush teeth or shower or use toilets for multiple days. very unpleasant smells from the bathroom drains affecting the whole suite. Eww. Ok for a day but any longer I would suggest looking elsewhere. Will not return or recommend.

Owner of the house has quite an attitude - a Karen. Beware!

Very disappointing and uncomfortable experience. We stayed at JZA Homestay from August 8–9, 2026, we even checked-in late (around 4:20pm) and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The owner made us feel uncomfortable throughout our stay. We understand that a homestay has rules and that the owner has responsibilities, but the way the rules were enforced made us feel like we were constantly being watched rather than treated as paying guests. The biggest concern was the lack of privacy. From the moment we checkin up until checkout. On the day of our checkout, we were still inside our room, resting and waiting for our scheduled checkout time but the owner repeatedly reminded us that she was just waiting for us to leave because there were other guests coming. She was literally sitting outside our room door. We still had approximately two hours before checkout, and one of my roommates was resting inside the room. During this time, the owner was already checking the doorknob/door of our room, which made us feel very uncomfortable and pressured to leave even though we were still within our agreed stay period. What was even more uncomfortable was that she then asked us to give back all the blankets while we were still using them inside the room. We were still resting, and checkout time had not yet arrived. We were surprised and uncomfortable being asked for the blankets before our stay had officially ended. Throughout our stay, we also constantly felt the owner's presence whenever we were within the premises. It felt like we were being closely monitored, which took away the sense of privacy and relaxation that we expected from a homestay. We respect house rules, and we understand that the owner has the right to manage her property. However, guests who have paid for their stay should also be given reasonable privacy and allowed to use the room and amenities until the agreed checkout time, unless there is a legitimate reason otherwise. We hope the owner takes this feedback constructively. Being strict with rules is understandable, but there is a big difference between maintaining reasonable house rules and making guests feel watched, rushed, or uncomfortable during their stay. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed. We would not recommend JZA Homestay based on our experience, and we would think twice before booking here again.
