Sterling Stolen Heaven Lonavala

We had booked 2 bhk, the room was spacious, but it was not clean. We had to call the staff to clean the room. At night there were lot of mosquitoes, we called for mosquitoe repellent but it didnt work out. I dont know where was the mosquitoes coming from when all the windows & doors were shut. It wasnt that great stay due to that. Property could be maintained well but it wasn't. Staff was professional & helpful. Food was OK.

Sterling Stolen Heaven Resort in Karla is a Property that has Newly been Acquired by Sterling Holidays and is now managed by them. It is located way beyond Lonavala, past the Waksai Toll Naka and just after the Karla Caves Junction on the Old Mumbai-Pune Road. It is actually a Complex of Large Cottages & Farm Houses in which Sterling Stolen Heaven is one of the Properties. The Resort is fairly Large and has several Ground plus Two Storied Buildings that house Standard Classic Rooms, 1BHK, 2BHK and 3BHK Apartments as well. Each Building also has a Small Elevator, which is good for those staying on the 1st & 2nd Floors. The Resort also has a Nice Bar, Restaurant, Large & Varied Indoor Games Play Area, Gym and a Large, Clean & Well Maintained Swimming Pool as well. In addition, it also has a Barbeque/Bonfire Area, a Banquet Hall and a Large Open Ground with a Stage to host Events too. Everything is Very Tastefully Designed and Well Maintained as well, with a Beautiful Natural Ambience with plenty of Greenery which makes it look Very Beautiful as well. Unfortunately however, they do not permit Parking within the Resort, so you have to park your Vehicle on the road outside and walk to your Room/Apartment, which is a bit inconvenient. We stayed at their 1BHK Apartment on the Ground Floor and found it to be a Very Spacious Apartment with a Large Living Room with a 3+1+1 Sofa Set, Center Table, Corner Table, Large TV with Cable Channels, a Large Dining Area with a 4 Seater Dining Table and 4 Chairs, a Private Veranda with an Outdoor Seating Table and 2 Chairs, a Large Fitted Kitchen with a SS Sink, a Mid-Size Refrigerator with Freezer, Electric Kettle with Supplies, a Decent Sized Washroom with a Storage Geyser for 24/7 Hot/Cold Water, a Separate Small Clothes Washing Area and a Nice AC Bedroom with a Large Luggage Rack, Dressing Table, Mirror, 2 Door Wardrobe with an Electronic Safe and a King Size Bed with 2 Side Tables as well. The Quality of the Mattresses, Pillows, Duvets, Towels and Toiletries provided was Very Good. Unfortunately however, our Apartment was not properly cleaned or checked before it was allotted to us. All the Fans in all the Rooms had a Thick Layer of Dust on all the Blades, the Mosquito Net behind the Exhaust Fan in the Washroom was Completely Clogged with Dust, the Toilet Commode was not cleaned properly, Bedroom AC Filter was Clogged and hence the Cooling was Very Poor, the Electronic Safe was Locked and could not be opened, the Electric Kettle was not working and had to be replaced and there were no Drinking Glasses and Tea/Coffee Cups/Mugs in the Room. We therefore had to get the Housekeeping/Maintenance Teams to attend to all these issues before we could settle down. This obviously created a Very Poor Initial Impression and could have well been avoided if proper SOP’s were in place and ensured before guests check in. Also, the Seats of the Sofa Set were of Very Hard Old Coir and Uncomfortable to sit on. These need to be replaced with Soft Foam Seats for Guests Comfort. The Breakfast was Buffet Style at the Restaurant which has a Lovely Ambience inside, the Spread was Good and everything was Very Tasty too. The Staff are also well trained and provide Good Service as well. The Mobile Network is poor, but their Wi-Fi works well. For some odd reason however, access to the Wi-Fi___33 ceases from 10 am onwards on the check-out day, even though the check-out is at 11 am. The Power also fluctuates and trips, but they have a Generator Back Up that quickly takes over, so that is good. A Good Place to stay at if you have your own Vehicle and are looking for a Serene, Peaceful Resort with Spacious Apartments, Good Food and Good Service too.

Had a very pleasant stay at Stolen Heavens resort. It has been recently renovated and upgraded as I could find lot of additional facilities on the property as compared to my stay in August 2022. The upgrades has pushed the property couple of notches up. There are something that they could improve and it being upgrading the indoor game facilities, but the positives does overweigh the negatives. Recommend this property absolutely for it's location as it is far away from the bustling town but still giving a splendid view of the mountains. It is quite and serene, will definitely visit again.

Pros- The property is located a bit farther from Lonavala, but its serene setting away from traffic makes it worth the drive. The amenities are impressive, including a large swimming pool, cycling facilities, and indoor games. There's a good selection of food available on-site at reasonable prices. Rooms are spacious, neat, and clean. Cons: We booked a 3-bedroom apartment with 3 bathrooms, yet only one bathroom had two towels provided. The other two lacked toiletries, and it took seven separate requests before additional towels were delivered. The kitchen was also under-equipped—no stove, microwave, plates, or basic cutlery—making it impractical despite being fully built.

Had booked 2 night stay at Stolen Heaven. Rooms seem was closed for some time had musty smell but was taken care by the staff using room freshers. Food was exceptional. Mr. Jehangir and Chef Anshul took care of all our requests. wonderful memories at Stolen Heaven.
