The owners Mrs Dtem and Achan Lek were gracious, kind, happy, and helpful. It’s best to rent a car if you plan to stay here because it’s isolated, quiet, and relaxing. We didn’t realize that, so we had trouble trying to get around to the race packet pick up, start line, etc. The owners offered to drive us around (we paid for the service, very reasonable fee: airport pickup, race packet pick up, start line, to Chiang Mai town). I was so thankful because he had to wake up early to drive us to the start line of the race at 5:15am. If you need a place to stay in this area, this is the place to stay. Make sure you rent a car, and you are all set! The owners also were super-responsive when we messaged them with questions and helped us switch our room because I accidentally booked a dormitory room instead of a room with a big bed for me and my husband. The food we had for dinner and breakfast was good: fried rice, rice porridge, salad.

This property is beautiful!!!! I felt like I was in a magical treehouse. The guest room is simple and clean, and you have your own dreamy balcony overlooking the river. The balcony is not entirely private as only a glass partition separates you from the balcony next door. WiFi can be spotty but I think that’s great for getting you to explore the hotel property and tune in with nature. On site cafe doubles as room service until 8PM. Lots of seating for cafe and hotel guests alike. There’s even a small conference/private dining room with A/V hookup. Location is pretty remote for a solo traveler, would def recommend having a car to go around to nearby restaurants and tourist attractions. You can walk 10 min on the same side of the road to the Mae Sa Waterfall visitor center, or drive 2 min alternatively.
