As I was arriving Ahmedabad Airport at about 03:00 and departing just 9 hours later I just wanted somewhere close to the airport that would allow me to get a few hours rest in an acceptable environment. Hotel Krishna ticked that box. I had difficulty getting to hotel Krishna on account of the rapaciousness of the AMD taxi drivers (pre-paid taxis only available from the domestic terminal) and the obscure location designated for Uber pick-ups. In the end I took an auto-rickshaw for Rs300 which I thought was very reasonable for a 10 minute ride at 04:00. My room was small, but was clean, with a queen bed and a TV that could obtain scores of international channels. The AC worked well, and was pretty quiet so the noise of jets taking off and landing was in no way obscured; but that is the inevitable side-effect of staying close to the airport. I had a very adequate breakfast of chilli paratha with a cup of hot chai, and left for the airport in a tuk-tuk, the very friendly hotel management arranged for me (Rs200 only sir!) I'd be very happy to return to Hotel Krishna for another short over-nighter

Good value hotel between flights
