Our stay at Taj Wayanad Resort & Spa was truly wonderful and memorable. The property itself is breathtakingly beautiful, surrounded by serene landscapes and offering spectacular views. The atmosphere is calm, peaceful, and perfect for families, children, and elderly parents looking for a relaxing getaway. What truly sets this resort apart is its exceptional hospitality. Every member of the staff was warm, courteous, and eager to help, making us feel welcomed throughout our stay. A very special mention goes to Chef Rajmohan, who went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. He took a personal interest in ensuring that our child was comfortable with the food and made it a point to visit us during breakfast, high tea, and dinner to check whether our child was happy with the meals. Such genuine care and attention are rare and deserve special recognition. His hospitality and dedication made a lasting impression on our family. We would also like to appreciate Mr. Vijay and Mr. Hari for their excellent service. Hari, in particular, provided a thoughtful suggestion upon our arrival. When we were considering ordering room service, he informed us about the complimentary high tea that included tea and snacks. This helped us avoid unnecessary room dining expenses and demonstrated that the staff genuinely cared about enhancing our experience rather than simply increasing revenue. The food throughout our stay was excellent, the service was consistently attentive, and the overall experience reflected the high standards one expects from a Taj property. The only minor issue we encountered was during check-in. Since we were traveling with elderly parents, we had specifically requested adjacent rooms. During check-in, Ms. Bibina informed us that no adjacent rooms were available and allocated Rooms 307 and 309, stating that Room 308 was occupied. However, upon reaching our floor, we noticed Room 308 was being cleaned. When we inquired with housekeeping, we were informed that the room was vacant and awaiting the arrival of a guest. While there may have been operational reasons for the allocation, it was a little disappointing since it appeared that our request might have been accommodated at the time of our arrival. That said, this was a very small concern in what was otherwise an outstanding stay. The beauty of the property, the exceptional service, and the genuine warmth of the staff far outweighed this minor inconvenience. I would highly recommend Taj Wayanad Resort & Spa to anyone looking for a luxurious, peaceful, and family-friendly retreat. A heartfelt thank you to Chef Rajmohan and the entire team for making our stay so special.

1. The cobble stoned pathways throughout the property are slippery when wet and an elderly lady slipped and hit her head when we were there. 2. Very confusing and poor check in experience where we, along with our our bags were haphazardly disembarked at a crowded porch and we were bundled into buggies to the crowded reception area. 3. No information about things to do in Wayanad and outside the property were provided at check in despite asking. We discovered the information later by accident. 4. Rooms : Spacious but we were provided two single beds when we had made a reservation for 3 including a 14 year old child. Were charged extra for an extra bed. Electrical switches in the rooms are very haphazardly placed and not labelled. Very confusing in the dark. Very less space on the bedside table. More bedside tables required. 5.Bathroom did not have a face towel ring . Limited towel rack space. Shower cubicle design was faulty leading to water spilling out and into the bathroom floor . Not enough hooks to hang clothes. 6. Balcony chairs in the room were made of metal and had thin cushions with no back rests. Highly uncomfortable. 7. Shower gel was not replenished for two days and crockery and cutlery were left outside our room ( not ours) for 24 hours despite repeated reminders 8. Some of the staff are excellent and went out of their way for us. Sujeeth at the Shamiana restaurant was exceptional as were many other servers. 9. The flautist (flute player) at Shamiana and the lobby was exceptionally talented. 10. Hari the lobby manager was very helpful and Sharath was receptive and patient. 11. No nature centric activities in an otherwise beautiful location. Could do with guided nature walks and naturalist presentations for guests to appreciate the flora and fauna of the area. 12. More low cal / low sugar meal options are required for health conscious guests. High tea was disappointing with unhealthy options. 13. Most Indian guests were loud and noisy which ruined the beautiful and tranquility of the public spaces. (Not the hotels fault ). 14. Overall not worth the money. One would get far better quality and experience in Thailand or Vietnam for less.

We have been to the Taj Wayanad hoping that like any other Taj we will indulge in luxury and have a refreshing vacation. The location of the property is amazing and it's best feature. Apart from location every thing else was average, the staff was so understaffed and lazy that if you order some thing from the room either it will be not be delivered to you at all or come at least 5 hours later after multiple reminders. Food spread was not good at all, the table at shamiana restaurant were left dirty and not cleaned in time for other guests, leaving them standing and waiting. Front reception lacked courtesy and welcoming nature. Over all, a good property worth going but not worthy of the Taj tittle. It's more like an average/ordinary hotel with good location.
