The hotel facilities are quite basic, but I was pleasantly surprised that the room was very spacious and clean. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained. However, there were a few things that I did not like at all: 1. Front desk service The front desk staff were not very friendly or welcoming. Their expressions and overall manner did not give the impression that guests were warmly welcomed. A little more friendliness and hospitality would make a big difference to the guest experience. 2. Restaurant atmosphere and staff The restaurant staff was also not particularly welcoming. What was more surprising was the lighting. The restaurant seemed to have most of its lights switched off when there were no guests and only turned them on when guests came in. Perhaps they are trying to save electricity or be environmentally friendly, but the result is that the restaurant feels quite dark and uninviting. 3. Very dim corridors The corridors leading to the rooms were also quite dark, with only small lights along the way. The entire row of rooms felt poorly lit. Apart from making the hotel feel less welcoming, better corridor lighting would also make guests feel more comfortable and secure when walking to their rooms. 4. Food was a pleasant surprise On the positive side, the à la carte food was delicious. Kudos to the chef! The quality and taste of the food were definitely one of the highlights of my stay. Overall: The room was definitely a positive point—spacious and clean, and the à la carte food was excellent. However, the hotel could significantly improve the overall guest experience by focusing on staff hospitality and better lighting in the restaurant and corridors.

The Hills is a nice hotel at the heart of the town Tirupattur. Didn't actually expect a hotel of this quality for small town. Conveniently located with good access to market, colleges and temples around. Hotel is managed well with responsive staffs, good quality food, cleanliness and necessary amenities like gym and parking. A must try for someone travelling to this part of town.
