A 1-night stay at this hotel was truly not enough. The facilities are nice and will take you back to the early days of the Spanish Colonization Era. Taal, Batangas is truly what I call the Vigan City of the South, and the stay at PDC has completed the experience. One drawback however, is that the humidity and heat of the summer is truly felt inside the house. Additional cooling systems such as a cooling fan may provide additional benefit. The food is exceptional specially their bagoong and tapa in a boodle fight setup. Another drawback, is the location of some of their houses which is pretty far from the hotel proper. Shuttle service is available, however, until 7pm only which limits your time to explore the town. Overall, it was a nice experience and I will recommend this.

Despite the hotel being an ancestral house, they maintained its authenticity as a heritage hotel. The old furnitures, utensils were all preserved. In addition, the hotel also offers swimming pool and restaurants.

At the main house, reservations are highly recommended. The annex is vacant, which makes staying there disadvantageous. My son and his pals were relocated to the main house before nightfall because the annex is not properly maintained. The rating is for the main house while I did not rate the annex.
