Baguio City Proper Houses

I needed to contact the owner on the day and was advised that it was overbooked. There were changes and we weren't advised or given a heads-up of the change in advance. The owner talked to us via the balcony while endorsing us to another inn owner and did not even bother to apologize! This could have been a traumatic experience if not for the other owner! I also took a peek at our supposed room and it wasn't cleaned at all! Not at all close to the pic shown here. It's a good thing our receiving owner was accommodating and a good host!

As first-time travelers to Baguio, we booked our accommodation in advance to secure an affordable place to stay. However, one week before our trip, I received a message from the owner stating that they wanted to cancel our booking because they planned to increase the price of the accommodation. We were all shocked, especially since the free cancellation option on Agoda was not available. After a lengthy conversation, the owner had no choice but to honor our booking as it was already fully paid. When we arrived at the accommodation, there was no proper welcome, no introduction or explanation from the owner. The people present only gave us directions to our room along with a padlock and key. Upon entering the room, we were very disappointed. The accommodation was only a single room for six guests, had an unpleasant smell, and was not clean. The bathroom was unhygienic, the cooking utensils were dirty, and even the bed was not properly cleaned. And because we felt embarrassed in front of the owner due to the dirty room they gave us, we ended up cleaning the place ourselves, even though we were the travelers. Additionally, it gave us a traumatic experience as first-time travelers to Baguio and taught us an important lesson: we need to prioritize finding clean and properly managed accommodations in the future.

If you’re looking for the WORST TRANSIENT accommodation in Baguio, this is it. 1. The property owner is unaccommodating and unprofessional. 2. Although the check-in time is listed as 2:00 PM, we had to wait because they only started cleaning the space at the exact check-in time. This caused significant delays. 3. The inclusions advertised on the Agoda app are misleading. Many of the promised amenities were either unavailable or required additional payment, which was not disclosed beforehand. 4. The staff is inattentive and only provides the advertised inclusions after you explicitly request them. Even then, you’re forced to wait a long time. 5. The beds were not clean. Upon inspection, the bedsheets had visible stains and even cat hair, which is unacceptable. 6. The rooftop, which was listed as part of the amenities, was inaccessible. Overall, the experience was disappointing and far below expectations. I do not recommend this property to anyone.

The photos in booking page is quite misleading. It is like an studio type with no separate bedroom. The beds and double decks are within the same living area with no separation or wall. The location was great as it is near savemore market and just a short walk to the main road so there's no problem in commuting. The sad part is, the room is very much dirty. There's cockroaches, bed bugs and plenty of ants. I hope they could address the cleanliness issue.
