Motho felt like it was out of nowhere - and that was actually what made it special. The surrounding was peaceful, and waking up to the view was worth the journey. There was something very relaxing about simply being there and enjoying the quiet. Our hostess was also accommodating. She kindly gave us a ride to the main highway when we needed to return to Chiang Mai. If you're looking for a quiet retreat rather than a place in the middle of the action, this is a lovely choice.

For the price, I think there are better options. The room smelled horrible, there wasn't even one piece of funiture to put your belongings on, the café food was very bland, and the staff were not particularly helpful/friendly like you would expect from a homestay. However, both the café and rooms had lovely views.

The room offers a stunning view of the mountains and beautiful terraced rice fields. Our children loved exploring the surrounding nature, including the flowers and trees. Having a barbecue dinner on the private balcony was very convenient and enjoyable for families with young children. Breakfast was also served with a beautiful view. Unfortunately, there was some agricultural burning nearby that morning, so the smoke and its strong smell made the breakfast experience less pleasant.

Very large, luminous and clean room fitted with comfy bed. Good breakfast and restaurant with wonderful view over the valley.

Wonderful and helpful staff. Very good food. Beautiful scenery.
