사우스뷰 호텔

Do you ever come away from an experience and you're just not sure how you felt about it? This is my second stay at the Southview hotel. The first time, I booked a queen bed for a very good rate, but it turned out to be an interior room with no windows. So this time I booked a deluxe room, but when I checked in, guess what, no windows again. At first I was upset, but I had plans so I settled into the room. The bed was nice, the room was clean. I turned the TV on and everything was displayed in Chinese characters. I called housekeeping and they came right away and fixed it, but later id discover that every time you left the room, it killed the power and the tv reset to a language I couldn't read. I took a shower and they have hot water, but the controller for it is so high, I can barely reach it. While I was trying to reach it, I realized the water was just how I liked it, so I left it alone. I had the free breakfast which was very limited in choices of only local fare, but it was tasty and satisfying. So I guess id sum up my stay as obstacles at every turn, but in the end, it was a great stay! Oh, and the windowless room thing has some benefits, so I may request one when I go back haha

Southview Hotel is not bad, it is cheap and will give you free breakfast. although when we did stay here 80% of the time the wifi is not working. Phone also in our room is not functioning, have to go to the main lobby to report the problems. This is a few minutes from Robinsons Dumaguete, so not that bad, other than their wifi not working.

Love the place but the food wasn't great. I dont know kung panis yung isda or what pero ang kati niya sa dila. Di ko rin bet yung kape. Basta maganda at malinis yung place. All good na sana except lang talaga sa food

We did not rest well. It was very iriatating to hear very loud noices from the outside. I think the hotel should replace their main doors of the room.

This place is clean no doubt. I Love the free breakfast. I super like the kuya secrity guard. Very friendly. The frontdesk ladies both morning and night shifts were nice but not so welcoming and not so friendly though. Facilities are clean, but I do recommend full length mirror. Travellers especially who is visiting dumaguete are attending special events and it would be nice see our final look on a mirror. Still I recommend this place. Affordable and clean.
