Offers a wonderful view of the world famous Batad Rice Terraces. Owners were very helpful and made sure that guests are accommodated properly. Cleanliness in terms of the property being well-kept and arranged need to be improved, and at the same time, control of mangy dogs at the common area.

I would recommend staying here. Such great couples, Irene and Jackson. They went beyond by thinking about our overall well-being which is extraordinary.

I recently booked a stay at this transient house, opting for the native hut experience, but unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had anticipated. I ended up staying in one of their rooms in the main house due to the deplorable condition of the native hut. Upon arrival, the first thing that hit us was the overpowering, musty odor of the native hut. It was as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. The smell of mold and dampness permeated the air, making it virtually uninhabitable. The state of the hut was so appalling that we couldn't bring ourselves to stay there, despite our initial excitement. The room in the main house, where we eventually spent the night, was hardly any better. To our dismay, it was infested with roaches and various insects, which made for a nightmarish sleeping experience. It was clear that cleanliness and hygiene were not a priority for the hosts. Moreover, the general state of their house was a reflection of the overall lack of care and maintenance. It was dirty, and it felt as if it had not been properly cleaned in quite some time. Overall, my stay at this transient house was a disappointing and unpleasant experience. The promise of a native hut experience turned into a night in a poorly maintained room infested with insects. The complete lack of cleanliness and hygiene was a major letdown. I would strongly advise against booking a stay at this place, as it failed to meet even the most basic standards of comfort and cleanliness.

Batad in general is still pretty remote so don’t expect luxuries typically found in more established destinations. For the price, we thought we got good value for our money. We stayed in one of the huts and our only concern was mosquitoes and creepy crawlers coming through the cracks (cockroaches). We asked for a mosquito net though and that took care of it.

This place sits at the lower part of Batad so expect a series of steps going down when heading to the accommodation. Equally, be prepared to climb the same steps when leaving or when going to other places for food/coffee. The owner Irene is so kind, hospitable, and accommodating. The balcony of Batad Transient House offers an unobstructed view of the rice terraces.So beautiful and relaxing any time of the day, especially in the morning! I really loved staying here. It felt like staying with a friend in Batad. Irene's chicken tinola was delicious! You should order it while there. My room didn't have a power outlet but Irene lent me an extension wire so I could work while there. Maraming salamat po Ma'am Irene!
