The room only offers basic needs. A bed, shower with toilet, a TV, a kettle, 2 mugs. Not very clean. With the smell of smoking. The shower area is tiny. You can use the shared shower room which is more spacious. Staff are very friendly. 10mins drive to The Kelpies.

nice small clean, warm room. spend couple pound more then booking and have your private bath room. have kitchen for public use, publib use toilets and showers a located by room color. Room cleaners coming every day. Very friendly and helpful team. For cheap stay and have trip to Edinburgh and around cities great location.

This place was very clean and the staff were brilliant. However it is very basic with no showers in the room or tea making facilities. I would recommend it for people on a budget looking for an honest place to stay but it's not for me.

Ok for a budget hotel just basic accommodation i understand they have a kitchen people can use but at least a kettle in the room would go a long way

This feels like only just a hotel rather than a hostel. It has a kitchen, which is great, though my room didn’t have a kettle. Notices warn you not to take food which isn’t yours, or leave stuff in the halls/fire exits, and to flush the toilet (bi-lingual, that one!) which you might hope went without saying. There was a chap bbq-ing what looked like a chicken in front of the reception - outside - when I was there. Which is nice to know you could do if you wanted. I personally wouldn’t take small children here, the room lighting is extremely bright and it’s just not really a child vibe. It’s also got cosmetic damage to paintwork in the room. Seemed clean despite its appearance though, and good stack of towels. Surprisingly quiet given location.
