Gamat Garden Homestay

I will recommend this place for the calm environment. Though it is 2/3 kms off track. But it is 30/40 mins from Kelingking and that was convenient for us. Also,sunset from that birds nest they have was amazing.

房间不错，很宁静。让我很不高兴的是，房东给出的包车价格，大大高于市场价，正常是600k/8小时，还价到500k甚至更便宜，房东一开始要了750k，最后700k，把停车费都算进去都没那么多，司机也不是全程跟着陪同，从民宿到码头打车单程200k。更喜欢诚信房东，建议大家来之前先网络上找好司机。

Decent stay place with an amazing view. Worth the money. Host were kind and very very decent and good food.

The host, Ms. Dwipayanti is very nice and helpful. The view of all rooms are fantastic! Sadly I’m unable to upload any photos. It’s about 30min by scooter if you’re good at it because the road is difficult to ride, otherwise you could hire scooter to send you there. Gamat bay is just below this hotel, about 15min walk. It’s perfect for snorkeling, you could rent snorkeling gears in the hotel, just 50k IDR per person, they have different sizes too. If you do snorkeling by sharing boats/groups, you have to go to Penida port and then the ship will go to Gamat bay, which is waste of time. Indeed, if you do not know how to swim or snorkeling, you should always travel with groups which is safer. For me, I will just stay in the same hotel next time and rent gears from them. At Gamat bay, you could sit and relax, they have a simple but tasty restaurant down there, you could even take a shower, which is very convenient. You could check out at 11am and spend 3 hours in Gamat bay and catch the final fast boat at the port at 5pm everyday.
