We booked a 4 night stay in June 2023, checked out this place after 1 night. First of all, we got out the airport, Grab drivers couldn’t even find the place, let alone travellers like us. The main reason we left so promptly was that it was quite dirty, in our opinion, including stains on bedsheet and throughout the ceilings/elsewhere in the room. It was also very noisy, we had the worst night sleep during our 3week stay in Malaysia. The noise was a mix of loud motorcycle exhaustions, loud stomping past midnight, loud talking/screaming by people in other rooms(or maybe staff) after 10pm, also very close to highway. The structure of the house amplifies noises really easily. There were also many mosquitos and insects, despite us closing the door promptly - got many mosquito/bug bites throughout the night. The reviews here and on Google were extremely misleading and led us to book this unpleasant stay. For locals, maybe they’re used to the loudness from this type of house & cleanliness level, but I would think mostly likely not for North Americans and Europeans. We were able to book a cabin with cleaner and better facilities closeby with similar price/night. Offers a lot more peace too. Our refund request for the unused nights was also rejected by the property. For westerners, that’s unethical business practices and we’ve decided to leave our experience here to warn other travellers. 2 star for service, given staff was decent, and owner also seemed decent, offering to make up the room after we left the day after. Sadly we didn’t think it would make a huge difference to the stay during our holiday.
