Saratha Vilas Chettinad

The palace is beautiful and historic, it’s a nice place to stay and you can also get to know the local history and architectures. The staffs are nice and foods are good like home cooking style. We really enjoy our stays here.

Had a nice, enjoyable experience. Traditional chettinadu house converted into a boutique hotel. That is personalised touch is there everywhere. House is filled with beautiful antiques. Good, tasty and healthy food. Not many activities for children. But the staff are very accomodative of special requests. All in all you may get disappointed if you are expecting th typical luxury resort experience. This is a homely, personalised place. As a plus it was raining when wevisited. We enjoyed watching the rain sitting around the courtyard.

Visiting one or two of those extraordinary Chettinad palaces, you come to wish you could live in one, at least for one day. SARATHA Vilas made this wish come true. We had an unforgettable experience staying there. The place has been refurbished with style, and it is a delight to walk around the facilities and discover the art, the objects on display and the great color scheme used to underline the true uniqueness of this place. The rooms are ultra comfortable, the food is exquisite, and the early morning walk in the village was so special. We didn’t have enough time to enjoy all that the facility has to offer - cooking class, spa, yoga, swimming pool -, but we will come back for sure. I highly recommend staying there, we loved every minute of our too short time in SARATHA Vilas
