Finding a good accommodation in Cemoro Lawang is hard. This guesthouse is not worth your money. The room was very dirty, the bathroom horrible with the toilet flush not working. Needed to request hot water from the staff that does not lift their eyes from their phone and barely acknowledge you. You have to be in the shower with the staff trying to get the hot water to work and asking you from the other side of the wall if it is working (which was somewhat amusing). There was only 1 socket in the room and it was barely working meaning I could not charge my phone. The room was also incredibly cold and humid. Staff again is completely dismissive - simply gives you the key and goes back playing on their phone. Nothing good to say I am afraid. Even the good location is a given as the village is so small.

Basic guesthouse near Bromo
The room I got was clean enough, got enough blankets and covers for the cold, the room faced the valley so the view was quite nice. The restroom was clean enough and the shower had hot water. If you are not going up Bromo for the sunrise and want to catch some sleep bring ear-plugs, the guesthouse is located next to the main road where all the jeeps go up from like 2am.

For Bromo and One Night Only
The facilities are about what you’d expect for the price. This certainly isn’t the Four Seasons, but if you’re looking for an affordable place to spend one night before climbing Mount Bromo, it gets the job done. Manage your expectations, and you’ll likely find it to be a perfectly adequate overnight stay.

You get what you pay for and this place is very cheap. You can walk to the bromo trailhead, but it is very cold at night and there is no heat so be prepared. You should already have packed warm clothes though for Bromo mountain itself
