My recent stay at the Sekepeng Penarik proved to be a worthwhile investment, offering spacious accommodations with a charming beachfront balcony. The chalet provided ample room to stretch out and enjoy the coastal views, creating a relaxing atmosphere from the moment I arrived. One highlight of my experience was the attentive staff who promptly addressed any issues, including a Wi-Fi repair request. While the room was generally clean and comfortable, there were minor issues such as weathered wooden doors and water in the bathroom. However, these seemed to be the result of natural wear and tear rather than neglect. The air conditioning provided welcomed relief from the tropical heat, ensuring a comfortable stay throughout. With the beach just a few meters away, I was treated to breathtaking views of the South China Sea, although unfortunately, inclement weather prevented me from witnessing a sunrise during my visit – a disappointment beyond the resort's control. Despite this, the resort offered a delightful holiday getaway without the need to venture to an island, providing a similar beach experience at a fraction of the cost. On our final day, we even had the opportunity to camp by the beach, adding an adventurous twist to our stay. However, it's worth noting a few drawbacks, such as the RM100 deposit required upon check-in, which is reimbursed online, and the lack of proper landscaping due to high winds. While these factors didn't significantly impact my enjoyment of the resort, they are worth considering for future guests. Overall, my stay at the Sekepeng Penarik was delightful, offering an affordable beachfront retreat that exceeded my expectations. Despite minor imperfections, the resort provided a memorable holiday experience that I would gladly revisit in the future.

We stayed here during the rainy season. Two weeks before our stay, some of the roads leading to the place was inundated. The weather cleared up when we went there. Although the skies were cloudy, it only drizzled and cooled the day. The waves were choppy, but it was invigorating enough just to sit on the beach and watch the day go by. The resort was superb: facilities, staff care. Most important is the vibe of staying in a rustic old-style house but with full amenities. Thank God and everyone for this experience.
