Doicherngngam Home stay

My partner and I spontaneously rode our little motorbike from Chiang Mai to Chiang Dao and made our reservation after we arrived. The views from the room were stunning, and the breakfast was completely over the top. The owner used Google Translate to tell us about his place, the travelers who’ve stayed there, and a bit about the area. He was so lovely — kind and generous. Breakfast alone was unforgettable: fresh vegetables, that famous Thai chili sauce, a whole fried fish, fruit, rice… and soup. It just kept coming. We stayed somewhere else the following night that cost nearly twice as much, but it delivered only a fraction of the experience we had here. We absolutely loved it. That said, if open-air accommodations aren’t your thing, this probably isn’t the place for you.

It was our second stay here, and we really enjoyed the fantastic view of Doi Luang mountain and the hospitality of the owner. In the morning he serves a gererous local breakfast, so we were full till dinner time or our sunset drinks. We'll definitely come back!

Awesome view, really lovely and welcoming hosts. Pritty cold at night. So take layers with you. No dinner, so either you take something with you or you have a car/scooter. The best place to relax and be in the moment. Best night so far. We really recommend it!
