Hampton by Hilton Chengdu Chunxi Road

We were upgraded to bigger room which is spacious. The location is great, just pass a short lane, you will reach Chunxi road walking street and IFS there are man restaurants and shopping places near by. The breakfast was crowded, you need to go before 8. Only 2 lifts, you alwasy wait long time. The sound proof was not so good. Staf was frendly and helpful. The laundary service was also convenient. Overall, it's a good place to stay in Chengdu.

Easy for tour pick up, conveniently located in city centre. Near to go around city. Just the bathroom is a little small. Need some careful maneuvering before getting in and close. Wash basin is located outside. Otherwise it’s tnot too bad for a few days

Stayed here twice. Once, for a night prior to going to X’an, and 3 more nights after. Staff is friendly and helpful. Gave us disposable raincoats when they ran out of umbrellas. Hate the walkway leading to lifts. Too narrow and a fire hazard. Otherwise, they have a good breakfast spread, rooms are small (twin beds) but decent. Next door to theatre and we managed to catch a mask changing show - absolutely divine! Close to main shopping districts and plenty of eateries. Across hotel, there is a food stalls alley and three shops away, there’s a quaint shopping street selling souvenirs, fruit stalls and reflexology.

It’s easy to move around in the area, easily within walking distances to malls, dining places, to tourists spots etc. Only gripe is that the hotel room is a little challenging for two separate individuals to move around and cross paths with each other. Bathroom space is a little challenging for us, having been used to bigger hotel rooms. Upon entering, there is a musky smoke smell despite requesting for non-smoking room. Well I guess that’s the lifestyle there.
