I recently stayed at Amar Palace Hotel for two days, and unfortunately, my experience was far from smooth. Upon arrival, I was informed that they were refusing to provide me with the room I had booked through Agoda. The staff explained that they were receiving a low commission from Agoda and thus didn’t want to honor the reservation. After a frustrating half-hour of arguing and a call to Agoda customer service, the situation was finally resolved, and they agreed to provide the room. Additionally, the hotel did not provide a tea kit in the room, which I found odd. When I asked about it, they gave me a shaving kit and a dental kit instead. However, during checkout, I noticed they charged me for the shaving kit. When I pointed this out, they removed the charge from the bill, but it added to the overall inconvenience. To make matters worse, the flush in the bathroom was not working properly in the room they initially gave me. After complaining about the issue, they did change my room to an adjacent one, which was appreciated, but it still caused an unnecessary disruption to my stay. Another major issue I encountered was the poor Wi-Fi signal on the first floor. The connection was extremely weak, and the smart TV in the room kept buffering constantly, making it impossible to watch anything. While the room itself was decent, the customer service and attention to detail left a lot to be desired. It’s concerning that a hotel would refuse a booking over commission issues, charge for basic amenities like a shaving kit, neglect room maintenance, and provide poor Wi-Fi. The entire experience was stressful and frustrating. I hope they reconsider their approach to customer service and bookings in the future. Would I recommend this hotel? Only if you're prepared for unexpected issues upon arrival, during your stay, and at checkout.

Clean property and helpful staff
This property was very clean with good size rooms. Washroom was clean. Staff was quite helpful. it's very near to the Bharatpur bird sanctuary. Loved our stay here and will recommend renting the property.
