Hotel Vera Ballarat

We just experienced a two night stay at Hotel Vera and loved every moment. The owners David and Martin were very welcoming and warmly greeted us upon arrival. It felt like being invited into someone’s home rather than the usual hotel check in. We stayed in Vera’s ‘blue room’ called the Sandon - and loved the attention to detail given to every aesthetic touch. The blue walls gave the room a beautiful tranquillity and it was thoughtfully adorned with paintings and sculpture. We loved the Victorian era high ceilings and the king sized bed was so comfortable it is to die for. Everything in the room is so considered and creative. The bath and shower are positively luxurious and must be enjoyed. The breakfast service was delicious and in the beautiful surrounds of restaurant Babae downstairs. The restaurant and kitchen staff were warm and friendly and very accommodating - as were all the staff at Hotel Vera. I cannot recommend this stay enough and we will certainly be back someday - Simon & Samone.
