River Run Lodge

Arrived at the property, nobody around the whole place was shut down.

We are a family 2ad, 3ch that stayed at River Run Lodge for 1 night. The room was fine space wise for our family of 5. We stayed at the start of winter and unfortunately the heater lacked the ability to actually heat our entire room and there is no electric blankets to compensate for the lack of heating. We did have our own minky blankets which we brought along which helped the situation a little but overall the beds where uncomfortable you can feel the springs and everyone complained of being cold. The place is aesthetically nice on the eye but the comforts lacked. It rained whilst we were there which nothing you can do about the rain but seeing as there is no bathrooms or kitchens attached to the units umbrellas or covered walk ways would be great to get to other facilities. The kitchen and common area is certainly well equipped however lack any kind of cleaning. We literally could not use the kitchen until we washed up and dryer other peoples stuff. There was crumbs over all the tables and floor and on the couches. We spent easily an hour cleaning up to make our dinner to than clean up again to then have two grubby blokes come in behind us and leave it a mess again and not clean up after themselves! Maybe a camera installed an a $250 cleaning fee or something would sort this kind of crap out - not on the owners of the place just explain what type of people you might run into if you stay here!
