Awful experience - never again!!
The quadruple room is a tiny glorified hostel room with cheap mdf bunks which are noisy. There is no soundproofing so expect to hear everything next door. No privacy as the window is on an open walkway. The bar is private so don't expect a drink. The room gets too hot to sleep and the thermostat is only for show. It can't be adjusted. No fan in the room unless you ask the night duty guy. The mattress is like a marshmallow and the one pillow is unsupportive. Inside the mdf "capsule" is dirty with cobwebs above your head. Hasn't been properly cleaned for ages. Only 2 towels provided for 4 guests. No direction to the "hotel" checkin. It's in fact in a music school next door. The breakfast is a tiny croissant and yogurt. Cheapo. They have the audacity to list it as a "highlight" if their "great value". The room is listed as 23 sqm but is nowhere near that. 15sqm at most. To sum up...AVOID. Too hot, dirty, cheap and noisy. It epitomizes the awful value for money on offer in Irish hotels. I will never stay there again.

Excellent in every way.
This hotel has a charachter on its own, rooms named after irish songwritters/singers, a lovely garden, a tree converted in a sculpture honouring music, a huge fig tree...the staff are very kind, attentive and friendly. The rooms are cute, cozy and have everything. It was a lovely break from the city, just a 10min walk to the beach and you can easily get there by train.

Couldn’t sleep as curtains let in all street lights and curtains flimsy. Also no beach as we were expecting as just sea and rocky shore
