Hyde Mill

We were looking for somewhere comfortable and decent value mid week, for a couple of nights whilst helping my parents move. Katie’s place worked out really well - we had the family apartment which was more spacious than I expected, with a comfortable bed , decent shower and small lounge/ kitchenette. Breakfast was healthy and good quality too. The location by the river is pretty and it was convenient for us, but you are dependent on transport as there’s no pavement if you wanted to walk into Harpenden. Would happily return if we needed to be in the area again.

After driving for over 5 hours it was a relief to get to Hyde Mill, the family room was very well presented and very clean. The grounds look really nice and you feel safe and comfortable - something that I personally value above everything else. There was a river running beside my bedroom which I could hear with the window open, I can understand why this place has such great reviews, entirely deserved. Would definitely use again without hesitation.

Had a one night stay. The stable room was spotless with a comfortable bed, spacious wet room and powerful shower, tv, tea making facilities etc. plentiful breakfast freshly cooked to order, very good quality sausages and bacon, free range eggs etc. wide choice of juices, a fresh food salad, cereals and yoghurts. Highly recommend!

A great find , the room had everything you need and dog friendly too. Katie the owner was very nice , nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely and we would recommend Hyde Mill, we will certainly return.

Rooms very clean, and very well maintained. Staff very welcoming, friendly and efficient. Breakfast was of a high standard, and set us up for the day! Would return without hesitation.
