We book this hotel for its convenient location - we can park the car free, and wander into town with ease. It is of a good, basic standard: no frills, and low-key staffing. For our latest visit however, we unfortunately dropped a couple of stars for 'cleanliness', as the room did not feel at all well-cleaned. We're not the type of people who immediately run a finger along the top of door frames looking for dust...but the dust was very obvious, and could be seen when watching the TV from bed. Corners of the carpet by the bedside units were also rather disgusting. I've not seen this level of neglect in all my stays in hotels, and was rather shocked. My partner did the checking out, otherwise it would have been mentioned to the reception staff. Disappointed, but would still recommend this hotel, it's a great place to stay, with decent, quiet rooms.

We had outstanding hospitality. The staff were incredibly helpful. Anna from the dining hall deserves a special mention for her outstanding service. Breakfast was awesome apart from the last (quiet) morning when we were served re-fried sausages and bacon. A note to the kitchen manager - consistency in a hotel is key to getting your guests to return. Albeit, we had a great stay and will surely return. Well done folks!

Stayed here before hence why I rebooked but, this time I was a little disappointed. Barely got any sleep through having no spare pillows, people constantly walking around on creaky floorboards all night around us from 5am and pigeons right outside our window. The shower fixture was stuck so took a lot to turn the shower on as well. Reception staff were friendly though

This hotel has what’s needed for a break away with easy access to Basingstoke Town Centre. Rooms are spacious and clean

Stayed here many times, this time was not as good as the room was incredibly hot, had a room sans air-conditioning, and all they had was a feeble fan to try cooling it down, it didn't work. If you book, make sure the room has aircon.
