Hartnoll Hotel

A lovely hotel just outside of town with immediate access to the country. We decided to have dinner there the night we arrived. The front of house team were warm and attentive. The food of both the a la carte and set menu were great. The cosy double room actually proved reasonably spacious. The only dislike was the bathroom light and fan which activates when you enter the bathroom then turns off a couple of minutes after you exit meaning if you want a tinkle in the middle of the night, your sleeping partner will be hit with both. Other than that, the mattress and pillows are comfortable and breakfast is good. The rest of the team are helpful, friendly and offer excellent local recommendations. They have a spa but if was already pretty much booked out when we asked for it. Next time!

A lovely sunny break. We had a fabulous room, great dinner and breakfast. Lovely garden area to sit out in and Spa. Love it there.

If you happen to find yourself needing somewhere to stay near Tiverton this is by far and away the best choice. The service, restaurant, and breakfast are all brilliant. Only minor niggle for me was that I paid for a slightly more expensive room and still ended up with the 'cozy' one, so I may as well have gone for the basic room. Only other minor niggle is that the WiFi needs some work, coverage is a bit spotty (so they need more APs) and the incoming connection isn't that fast.

I stay at the Hartnoll quite often, by far and away the best choice locally. Great staff, modern rooms, awesome breakfast. Only minor negative premium wines are a touch on the pricey side. (£80 for a Chablis premier cru for example)

Noisy party and thumping bass that went on until late at night. Slamming doors early in the morning. You dont expect that when paying £*** a night for a hotel room in the middle of the countryside.
