I arrived late and the guy on reception was super helpful and cheery. My room was clean and there was a fan which I was grateful for. There were plenty of outlets for chargers and pillows were good. The mattress was uncomfortable and the shower was meh. More importantly, I was on the second floor and felt unsafe leaving the windows open on a hot night. There was no drop due to a flat roof just below my window and the window locks are an old style where they just hook into a hole. A little unnerving. However, I got the room late on a good deal and didn't pay top money so for a low cost sleep, this does the job

Last minute booking. Rather tired decor. No breakfast available. Staff very helpful and pleasant.

Hotel is an older building, but beds have been updated with plugs + isb ports. For the price point cant complain. Staff were also very kind - asked for plenty of milk and they did not disappoint.

It’s not terrible- I mean it’s cheap but- I think the carpet may be older than me and- I’ve had my driving licence over 20 years… The room was very dated. On a positive it was clean but I sat on the bed and sank so immediately asked to switch sides with my partner- I’m not sure if that was a good idea cos the other side was more lumpy than the moon… Like I say- on a positive it was clean- I say it was clean- it was inside but the outside window was covered and I do mean covered in pigeon poop which is hardly surprising as pigeons live in their room. Just by the back door which was the entrance you have to take care in case it lands on you. Still if it’s that or sleep on the street it’s better. The bedding and towels were clean and the water worked.

If you are looking for a no-fuss, basic accommodation (which i was) somewhere to put your head down after your travels without fear of intruders at night, then go to Lovat Hotel. I confess, I was very apprehensive about some of the reviews I had read, but I really needed a low-budget place that was central and I found it in Lovat Hotel, Perth. It was my first time in Perth and the staff were really helpful particularly the lady manager. The room was clean and the bed ok. Not the Ritz, but not bad at all.
