This was my second stay at the Delta Hotel, having stayed here last year, and unfortunately some of the same issues recurred. The hotel has a beautiful location, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. However, the elevator situation is a significant inconvenience. For riverside-view rooms, you need to take one elevator to the second floor, cross a bridge, and then take a second elevator to reach your room. Unfortunately, the second elevator stopped working on the second day of our stay, meaning I had to carry a heavy suitcase up the stairs. This was also an issue during my stay last year. The single elevator serving the rooms is frequently very busy, and assistance with luggage may not always be readily available. I also had an uncomfortable interaction with one of the receptionists, ***. I had booked a higher-floor room but was assigned a first-floor room and asked whether it could be changed. During the conversation, he commented, “You are in the UK; the first floor is a high floor,” which I found dismissive and unhelpful. Although he later explained that he did not intend to sound rude, I have had similar experiences with him during both of my stays, finding his approach less accommodating than that of the other reception staff. Overall, I like the hotel and its location, but these recurring issues affected my experience. I had another stay booked for September, which I ultimately cancelled and chose another hotel instead.

Had a great experience overall, though it's an older hotel the room was very spacious and clean, all staff was wonderful until it was time to check out. I got stuck in the elevator for quite a while, and the very friendly technical personel helped me out, but I was a few minutes late with my checkout because of this. The lady working the front desk was rude, did not apologize or acknowledge me at all (since she was busy checking someone in) while I was in a hurry to leave.

Hotel Review The property itself is beautiful and has so much potential, which makes the experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, the staff were extremely rude, unfriendly and unwelcoming throughout our stay. What was most upsetting was the way we felt we were treated differently because of our race. The attitude we experienced came across as discriminatory and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. A beautiful hotel means very little when the customer service does not reflect the standards you would expect from a Marriott property. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the behaviour of the staff. It is a real shame because the property itself is lovely.

Hotel room that we stayed in needs a bit of attention. Wallpaper hanging off in places, bath with deep chips in it. shower screen very dirty and grubby and no kettle or water in rooms. Hotel reception staff were not very welcoming at all and the same at check out. Must say the breakfast staff and bar staff during the day were excellent and the breakfast was first class. Cleaners we passed always had a smile on their faces and were very friendly. The location is very good and would book again for an overnight stay.

Room was great, very clean and very comfortable bed. Bar - not great, beer tasted stale, lines were clearly not beencleaned for a length of time. Breakfast very nice. Staff very friendly
