Overall, my stay at Hotel Low Wood Bay was pleasant. The staff were fantastic and accommodating, and the hotel is pet-friendly, which is a big plus for dog owners. However, I was disappointed to find out that there's an additional £30 charge per night per dog, which feels excessive compared to other hotels. Additionally, considering the hotel's location, having a car is essential, yet guests are charged £12 for parking. While I enjoyed my stay, these additional charges left a somewhat sour taste.

What a cracking location and beautiful standard of property and furnishings, lovely service from Stephen on the gate, and staff generally friendly and professional. Three watch outs - seems off to charge for parking - nonprewarning on the confirmation we got. Secondly, quality of food from the bar was pretty patchy - and disappointing there’s no way of getting any of the much better smoke house food there. Finally the restriction on spa access to after 5.30 seemed unusual and not well communicated in advance, I don’t recall this being the case last time I was there. Will still return - but stick to the restaurants not the bar for food

I re-booked this for a family gathering having stayed here some years ago with my husband before the spa expansion. We were all dissapointed by the restrictions placed on residents regarding pool access, to only be allowed to use it for 2 hours from opening at 7.30am and 2 hours from 5.30pm was poor, especially for the nightly cost. 4/5 of didnt end up using it all as a result. Wouldn't go back.

We had a positive stay overall - the staff were friendly, the place was clean, the location was good, and the food was excellent (especially the breakfast). However, it should be noted that if you’re only staying as a basic resident, you’re not entitled to a lot of the amenities, such as the Winandee Club bar / restaurant, or indeed any of the spa facilities (other than the indoor pool area for a couple of hours early AM or Evening time). This isn’t made clear when you book and as such you’re left feeling a little short changed. Other than that, no complaints.

Spent a very nice 3 days at this really nice hotel. Having a dog was fine but because we were restricted to the bar and it's menu, a lot of the nice restaurant food was not available to us. Having a dog also meant we couldn't enjoy spa facilities together. For these reasons I think i would look elsewhere for a better value dog friendly experience at the rates charged.
