Audo Boutique Hotel

This may be a slightly biased review because Audo House has been on my bucket list for the longest time, and thankfully, the actual stay lived up to my expectations. However, I would not say the same about the check-in process. As my booking was made through Agoda, the third-party platform may have played a part in the timing of the communication between Audo House and me. It is also worth noting that Audo House is not a full-fledged hotel, so you should not expect the usual concierge or front-desk services. As my check-in fell on a Sunday, the cut-off time for in-person check-in was 4pm. Guests are encouraged to download an app to complete the self check-in process. Unfortunately, I was unable to complete the verification as I did not have a local phone number, which made the process rather challenging. That said, once I was settled in, the stay itself was very much what I had hoped for. I would still consider staying at Audo House again the next time I visit Copenhagen, especially because of its convenient location. It is within walking distance of some of my favourite spots, including Atelier September, La Cabra and Andersen & Maillard, as well as a supermarket, Meny. Overall, Audo House remains a place I would happily return to. Just be mindful of the check-in arrangements, especially if you are arriving on a Sunday or do not have a local phone number.

Chose this place because my friend and I love Audo's products. Though everything looks nice.. there's quite a few inconveniences. And honestly it was quite disappointing. Staff was not friendly until we mentioned we were checking-in. There was no ramp up to the lift - which means we have to carry the luggages on our own. Lift access is limited to opening hours so we have to go back via a side entrance all the time without any lift. The concept store is also a let down, nothing much to shop/purchase. No breakfast voucher/discount despite connected to a cafe downstairs. Check-in is done online which requires an OTP sent to the mobile (sms) which is a huge problem for people whose numbers doesnt have roaming. It was honestly frustrating at this point when they sent their check-in instructions, to register this and that but none worked. Our alternative was to check-in during the reception hours - which is a setback for us considering everything closes at 6pm in the city and we have to be back before the reception closes - 5pm. Felt that this building wasn't meant to have accommodations - the toilet has that mold smell. There's very little space to put toiletries/hang our towels. Wouldn't choose this again.

Great design and set up within the building. Do not expect typical hotel as they market this as a 'residence'. ie staff and main entrance only open during hours. After hours access via side door and stairs up to L3. Checked in during busy design week and hence a lack of clear instruction, was caught unawares when we returned late but restaurant staff on site was helpful to show us the way. Also very quick reply from staff via email / message on Agoda. Lacking storage areas in bathrooms so we brought a side table into the relatively spacious vanity area. Some details not fully thought through : 3 bottles places in shower but only can fit 2 on the shelf, so 1 ended up on the shower floor! Lack of area for wet items at basin. Overall still beautiful interior with generally helpful staff. Well appoint in rooms, with bluetooth speakers / coffee machine / steam iron and plenty of power sockets.
