Wanting a City break in Bath we chose this hotel as it has car parking(although it was at a cost of £10 per night). Large comfortable hotel with friendly, attentive staff. Food at breakfast and dinner plentiful and tasty. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. There is a small lift to reach upper floors but still small flights of steps to negotiate to most rooms once on your floor. The hotel is situated on a very steep hill but is on a frequent bus route to take you into town. All in all we had a good few days here and would certainly recommend this hotel.

The last day there was no hot water. The elevator only fits 2 people at a time so keep in mind if you are traveling with your family. After taking the elevator you still have to drag your luggage another 5 flights of stairs. The hotel is walking distance from the down town area but you will have to walk up a big hill on the way back so keep in mind if traveling with someone elderly or unfit. The room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly. There are books with the history of Bath and activities in the room. Coffee, tea, water and cookies were also a nice touch.

The management were very good at helping sort out a problem with booking along with Agoda. The Lansdown Grove Hotel is a traditional Bath stone building. There is some parking ,on site, off road , available for guests at £10 per night. The rooms were comfortable and warm and there was a plentiful supply of hot water. There was a choice of breakfast food and the service and the standard of food was very good. The staff were very pleasant and keen to make the stay in the hotel as good as it could be. The hotel is situated on a hill but walking downhill to the Royal Crescent and Assembly Rooms took about 10.minutes and Bath centre was about 5 minutes further. The 31 bus stopped outside the hotel for the return. Very good value for money.

The room was lovely. It was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. All facilities very clean. Would definitely recommend staying here. However the ad specifies parking is available. Unfortunately when we arrived we found out of costs an extra 10£ to use the carpark and that the carpark was full and therefore we could not park there. We were left trying to find a carpark and all surrounding streets are permit.

On the positives, the staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also superb. On the negatives, having stayed at several 4 star hotels, this is a 3 in our view. It is very tired, and in need of some TLC. The images on the website encouraged us to stay here but in reality they don't match up. The location is great but our room is tiny, poorly lit and chilly with an electric plug in heater provided as radiators are ineffective. Overall we would not recommend as a 4 star and would not stay here again although that's no reflection on the very helpful staff.
