Love the one nite stay at Rantau Panjang. Will surely repeat this place in future. TQ for the helpful host. It's safe and very convenient to stay here.

Positive points: 1. House is good for 4 persons. 2. Parking is just next to the house compound. 3. Water dispenser with hot and cold water provided. 4. Two air cond units in 2 of the rooms are cold enough. 5. There's a washing machine but no laundry powder provided. The water pressure supplying to the machine is very low. Negative points: 1. The steps to the main door is very high. I fell down twice while exiting thinking that there a step in between the door and entrance. The cleaner came and washed the floor quite early in the morning. She left the floor very wet and slippery. I slipped fell and had bruise on my knee. 2. There's no wash basin in both of the toilets/bathrooms. Have to brush our teeth at the kitchen sink. 3. There's only one water heater in one of the bathroom. The other bathroom has no water heater. 4. Very tricky to bathe as the water from the water heater is either too cold or too hot even when the temperature set is the lowest. We have to switch off the heater when it gets too hot and quickly on it before it gets too cold. Walking distance to the immigration check point is too far away but ok when you drive.

Overall, our stay at the homestay was pleasant. The room was clean, the location was convenient, and the host was friendly and responsive. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. However, we did notice that the bed made quite a bit of noise whenever we moved, which was a bit distracting at night. There were also quite a few cicak (house lizards) around, which might bother some guests, though they didn’t cause any major issues. Other than that, everything was fine and we appreciated the cozy and peaceful atmosphere. With a little improvement to the bed, this place would be even better.

Comfortable room/parking but quite narrow street to access. Friendly owner and attracting surrounding. Suitable for family stay with affordable/user friendly cost.
