Tacoma Sumba Resort is located in a quiet and peaceful area, about a 45-minute drive from Waingapu town, making it somewhat remote but perfect for those looking to relax away from the crowds. It’s even a bit farther than Walakiri Beach, known for its iconic “dancing” mangrove trees, which is worth noting if you’re planning photography trips. The sunrise views are beautiful and exactly as expected, especially on a clear morning. One of the highlights of the stay was the food. Dinner leans toward Indonesian/local cuisine and was genuinely very good. We enjoyed a fresh catch-of-the-day grilled fish and a chicken curry-style dish, both of which were flavorful and well-prepared. Prices were also reasonable, especially compared to other places we experienced in Southwest Sumba. The room was very clean, and the bathroom was equally well-maintained. Overall, we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at Tacoma Sumba Resort.

A quiet bit of paradise

First and foremost, the staff at this hotel is so very friendly and welcoming. It was sad to say goodbye. If you are looking for calm and peace, this is the hotel for you. You will rarely meet anyone on the long beach and you'll fall asleep to the sound of waves. We found the food prices a bit high in comparison with our other hotel on Sumba. The wines are overpriced. I would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you Tanoma Sumba!

A beautiful escape from the ordinary

Beautifully located on a pristine beach, this villa is a hidden gem. The two bedrooms villa is spacious and suitable for a family of 4 or more. food service was excellent. Breakfast set menu was sufficient. No TV in the room but it is not necessary. Full size kitchen equipped with microwave and fridge and stove.Friendly staff and great natural surrounding.

环境非常好，面临大海，房间超级舒服宽敞，早餐和晚餐选择多，对着大海吃饭非常惬意，酒店人员态度很好，完全没有缺点
