On the plus side, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the bed was more than ample and there was a well-stocked hospitality tray. On the downside, I had no ensuite, although there was a room-dedicated bathroom down a corridor. Sadly the hot tap refused to work and the toilet bowl was stained an off-putting brown (lime scale?). Music from the bar was intrusive, but staff turned it off promptly, without complaint, when I mentioned the noise. I didn't pay extra for breakfast. I gave three stars for cleanliness because of the toilet bowl, grubby windows and scuff marks on walls.

Clean and comfortable
Lovely clean and comfortable room, plenty of tea and coffee available for use. Good size continental breakfast provided. Friendly staff available to answer questions and provide advice. Excellent overall value.

Dreadful stay - I wanted to sleep in the car
Sorry, Bull Hotel - lovely room, lovely pub (although closed at 5pm!) - but you should NOT rent out a room that suffers a constant droning noise (kitchen freezer?) that resembles Chinese Torture .. I seriously thought the only way to escape it was to go and sleep in my car - not happy at having such a dreadful night - in fact, I'd like a refund ..
