We went here for 1 night. The view from our room on the 2nd floor had a great view of the waterfront, which was only a few hundred feet away. In addition, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had many features not found in most normal hotels. We were greeted upon arrival by the inn owner and her dog, they both were very nice. Breakfast was made fresh, and we had the chance to talk with the other guests. Overall, a great stay. Check it out if you're in the area.

Good Value, Nice People, Great View

Great B&B
We had a lovely 3 night stay here and I cannot recommend this place enough. Our room was simply gorgeous and the facilities are top notch. The kingsize bed was really comfortable, and the wall mounted TV was large enough for us to watch a film while snuggled up on the bed. The view was also breathtaking and the wine glasses (supplied in the room) came in handy for making the most of it with a bottle of wine. We also enjoyed the waterside stroll in to town for an evening meal/ drink, which all in all, made for a very relaxing stay. My husband also used the pool for a pre-breakfast swim to work up an appetite, which was an added bonus, as we've never stayed in a B&B that offers this type of facility before. There is nothing not to like about Thornbank House. Even the toiletries cover all evantualities - for those of you, who like us, are not the most organised and forget your toothpaste! I would give this accommodation 5 out of 5 for location, decor, space, cleanliness, breakfast, facilities and friendly hosts. If you're thinking about going... you definitely should... this part of Scotland is a hidden gem!
